Unlocking voices. Practical methods to engage citizens in safety and security innovation

This is the final version of the TRANSCEND Toolbox and the result of several iterations developed within the project. It comprises seven sections: 1. Introduction; 2. Societal engagement and impact assessments (background and motivation); 3. Collaboration and project management; 4. Organising citizen involvement; 5. Methods to organise societal engagement and citizen involvement; 6. Methods to assess ethical, human rights, and societal aspects; and 7. Domain-specific guidelines and examples. Moreover, the Toolbox includes a range of Appendices, including Worksheets with practical instructions; tools for stakeholder mapping and engagement, and an ethics deliberation guide.
