routevolt - An open-source cloud-native service for advanced estimations of electric vehicle state-of-charge, travel time, and integrated charging support

Abstract
routevolt is a cloud-native, API-accessible service for real-time electric vehicle (EV) route management, providing realistic state-of-charge (SOC) and travel time estimations. It supports both point-to-point trip planning between specified coordinates and charging location analysis within a user-defined radius, enhancing EV travel efficiency. Using real-time traffic, temperature, altitude, and historical data, it delivers close-to-actual arrival SOC and travel time results. The service accounts for factors such as self-discharge during idle periods, traffic conditions, and auxiliary consumption, enabling more reliable trip planning and reducing range anxiety. routevolt supports EV drivers, electromobility stakeholders, and researchers in improving planning, optimizing strategies, and conducting realistic tests.
