Fuel cell technology - Overview and aspects of system integration science

Abstract
The challenges of systemically integrated supply systems for power grid backup or heat supply for accommodations lie in the steadily increasing demand with simultaneously increasing requirements for climate-specific neutrality. Hydrogen offers an alternative to conventional energy sources and fuels. Fuel cells offer flexibility in performance and application. Temperature and pressure dependent modes of operation, as well as the right choice of technology, therefore offer the possibility to supply everything from data centers to commercial complexes or radio systems with fuel cell systems systemically integrated for maximum efficiency.
