MASMICRO - an integrated approach to mass-manufacturing for miniatur and micro products

The EU FP 6 project MASMICRO attempts to establish an integrated approach to mass-manufacturing for miniature and micro products covering almost the full product life cycle from early stages of product development to mass production. From a manufacturing process point of view, it focuses on micro forming and micro machining. The presentation gives an overview on the project's approach to integration, investigates the aspect of IT integration as an example area of integration in more detail and gives some hints regarding the role of standardization for integration.
