Title
A new system for in-situ aerodynamic classification with application to dustiness tests and powder characterization
Abstract
A substantial amount of industrial aerosol emissions in the inhalable size range originates from mechanical processes: powder handling, break-up of solids due to mechanical energy input such as crushing, comminution or accidental mechanical impact. A further mechanical aerosol source is resuspension of particles from dusty surfaces induced by airflows, vibrations or caused by direct ejection due to impacting objects.
