Abstract
Mobile robots may contribute to flexibility in production with heir high adaptability and independence of location. In practice, scheduling is done via fleet management systems without considering order-specific energy demand. However, knowledge of this leads to an increase in availability and energy efficiency as well as to an improvement in disposition. This paper presents strategies for energy-oriented control of mobile robots and evaluates them by simulation.
