Creep crack growth. A state-of-the-art-report

This report describes the progress made in the first two years of collaboration and represents an authoritative review of the current state-of-the-art in this complex but important area of materials technology. Currently there are no standards, either national or international, for creep crack growth and this report is not intended as a replacement for a standards document. However the information presented here represents the considered views of leading experts in the experts in the field and in terms of the measurement procedures, calculation of correlating parameters etc. the practices described can be recommended as the best available at this point in time. It is anticipated that a document such as this would provide the basis for the development in due course of a standard on creep crack growth but this would be the responsibility of national standards - writing bodies.
