Das "Mechatronische Betriebssystem"

Sechs Institute der Universität Stuttgart erarbeiten unter der Leitung des IAT ein interdisziplinäres Forschungsvorhaben, in dem das "Mechatronische Betriebssystem (MBS)" als innovative Klammer mehrere Teilprojekte verbinden soll. Das MBS ist ein System aus Software-, Elektronik- und Mechanik-Elementen auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen (Sensor-/Aktor-Ebene bis Anlagenebene) mit umfassend definierten Schnittstellen. Das MBS soll dem Maschinenbau Grundlagen für neue Geschäftsmodelle schaffen.

Six institutes of the University of Stuttgart compile an interdisciplinary research program under IAT-lead which contains the "Mechatronical Operating System" (MBS) as its innovative linkage of several subprojects. The MBS is a system of software, electronical and mechanical components of different levels (sensor/actuator to plant level) including comprehensively defined interfaces. The MBS aims to provide the capital goods industry with the necessary bases for new business models.
