Aspects of Filter Design and Isolation for Medium Voltage Drives Inverters with 6.5 kV SiC-MOSFETs and high Switching Frequency

Abstract
In this paper different aspects of filter design and isolation are discussed for the application of 6.5 kV SiC-MOSFETs to achieve higher power density while coping with the challenge of a high dv/dt to achieve switching frequencies which are up to 20 times higher than with Si-IGBTs.
