Availability focused risk analysis to support life cycle costing prognosis

Preventive and corrective maintenance are, inter alia, the dominant influences for the Life Cycle Cost of machinery. Within the paper we will show an approach to support the prediction of corrective maintenance actions during the design phase of a machine with a CDA-FMEA (combined design and availability failure mode and effect analysis). Additionally the results can be used as an input for the Life Cycle Cost analysis of the machinery.
