Competitive manufacturing strategies for product life cycle control
Abstract
To master the constraints of an effective life cycle management all kinds of data and information concerning actual machine behaviour needs to be available. Latest developments in information and communication technologies allow a "look inside" the machine to visualise the actual status. The paper will establish a performance control system including a fleet management system to gain competitive advantages in manufacturing by focuccing on the entire product life cycle.
