Title

MOPA with kW average power and multi MW pulse power

Abstract
A Nd:YAG MOPA combining rod and slab geometry with 1.3 kW average, 24 MW peak power and 5.4 ns pulse duration at 10 kHz repetition rate has been developed. Birefringence compensation guarantees good beam quality.
