Sicherheit in der Bildkommunikation

Digital representation of images considerably increases the potential for violation of intellectual property rights. Access to digital images is fast and easy, copies are generated easily, with minimal cost and readily distributable. By means of embedded digital watermarks the creator or licensee of an image can be identified. This paper presents a generic model of the digital watermarking methods. Functional modules are described in this paper to represent an abstract scheme of digital watermarking methods. A variety of watermarking systems can be derived from this generic model.
