Title
From Sensors to BIM: Monitoring Comfort Conditions of Social Housing with the KlimaKit Model
Abstract
This paper describes the process for integrating the indoor comfort data collected by a monitoring system with a BIM-based model. Linking the monitored data with the BIM-based model allows to improve the visualization of the comfort parameters, that can be useful for the management of building energy system. As a case study, a residential multi-storey building, of the social housing association of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano in South Tyrol was considered. For public administration and social housing associations the creation of this comprehensive tool of information about their building stock, can be especially useful for building operation and maintenance and for the design phase in future projects. The results presented in this paper are part of an ongoing research project ""Klimakit - Drive the change of the energy refurbishment market in South Tyrol. A strategy for social housing associations and public administration"" [1]. The project is founded by Operational program European Fund for Regional Development EFRD 2014-2020.
