Properties of inhomogeneous shear zones in different materials

Inhomogeneous shear zones are generated by means of a Hopkinson pressure bar technic and a special specimen in different materials like Fe, Ti, CrMoV-steel, C-steel and others. Besides metallographical observations, measurements of microhardness are carried out concerning differently heat treated conditions of the shear zone. (IFAM)
