Title

40 GHz optical clock recovery for application in asynchronous networks

Abstract
Locking and unlocking to data packets is analysed for a 40 GHz optical clock. The clock locks within 3 ns to data containing 25% of "1" bits and it holds synchronisation for "0" sequences of 10 ns. The clock is well suited for application in 40 Gb/s asynchronous networks.
