TeleInViVo - A 3D Ultrasound TeleMedical Workstation

The aim of TeleInViVo project which is founded by the European Commission in the Telematics Application Programme, Sector Healthcare is to set-up a transportable telemedicine workstation (PC plus telecommunication capabilities) connected with a light, portable ultrasound station and use it as a telemedical device in isolated areas such as islands, rural areas and crisis situation areas. The system has low price, low weight, is transportable, non radiating, and supports a very large range of applications varying from gynecology to abdominal scans.
