Secure communication and cooperation via shared workspaces

In this paper, we discuss security issues of Web based CSCW systems and describe a conceptual model as well a recent extension to the BSCW Shared Workspace System [2] that satisfies high security requirements for communication and cooperation in an inter-organizational setting by using encryption technology.
