Title

Heuristic Search Based Design of Hybrid, Collaborative Assembly Systems

Abstract
This paper presents a heuristic approach for optimized design of hybrid workplaces for collaborative workload sharing and resource allocation in reconfigurable, hybrid assembly systems. The design and resource allocation pattern is derived from product and process data stored in AutomationML and based on requirement - capability matching. The approach intends to support the design engineers' work during the first draft of a hybrid workplace design and focuses on fast generation of optimized solutions. To receive valid designs in a limited amount of time, the implementation is based on heuristic search.
