Title

Some progress in SAR/MTI and bistatic SAR applications

Abstract
The years 2006/2007 mark a considerable progress in SAR and MTI techniques and systems: New space-based high resolution imaging radars like SAR-Lupe, COSMO-SkyMed, TerraSAR-X, RADARSAT-2 and TanDEM-X have been launched or are near to their launch. The feasibility of European airborne multifunction reconnaissance systems of the SOSTAR-X programme has been proven. Radar imaging, especially decimeter resolution interferometric SAR has been demonstrated at high frequencies and bandwidths never reached before. New concepts of spatial temporal diversity are arising (MIMO-SAR). Last but not least, imaging radar and bistatic SAR applications will play an important roll in enhancing security of the citizens.
