Title
Creation of e-learning content for microelectronics manufacturing
Abstract
In this paper, we report on methodology, approach, and results concerning the cr eation of e-learning content for microelectronics manufacturing. The work was d one in the framework of an EC-funded project called E-LIMM (E-Learning for Micr oelectronics Manufacturing) and was initiated to address the shortage of highly skilled industrial staff in the microelectronics industry and also to offer new methodologies for continuous training and qualification of staff by using high -quality e-learning courses and modules. The created content has been adjusted to the daily work in the factory and the target group addressed are operators, technicians, engineers, freshmen, and managers. Another goal of the project was the application of information technology, especially the creation of multimedi a learning content integrated into networked systems. The four main areas of to pics for content were process technology, factory automation and operation, pro cess and metrology equipment, as well as environment, safety, and health.
