Title

A model for wireless sensor nodes with energy constraints

Abstract
The development of wireless sensor networks shows growing potential for cost efficient operation of industrial networks and allows new applications like environmental monitoring, asset management or product tracking. To gain maximum flexibility and serviceability are energy autarkic wireless sensor nodes applied when possible. An integration of the energy constraints into the data flow is possible. We propose here to use a alternative wireless sensor node and calculate the energy constraint by a corresponding data flow. We propose two approaches to calculate the characteristic parameters. The model can be still improved by using the capabilities of network calculus to concatenate different nodes rather than this iterative approach.
