Title

Photocatalytic Active TiO2 Coatings for Degradation of EDTA for Drinking Water Production

Abstract
Coatings of TiO2 on Borosilicate glass were produced using the sol-gel technique. Investigations of the catalytic activity of the coatings for degrading EDTA for water treatment show that, using a low pressure mercury lamp, the energy demand to be expected for medium pressure mercury lamps can be reduced by about 50 %.
