FLAME 2008 - personalized web services for the olympic games 2008 in Beijing

The Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing will attract a large number of people from all over the world. To support these different groups with different kinds of online services individually a multi-channel service platform is needed. In a joint project the German Fraunhofer ISST and the Chinese ICT work on software integration technologies for semantic web service platforms. The work on user profiles, semantics description of web services and service management is integrated in FLA ME2008, an integration platform for semantic web services. To support personalization all users will be able to use personal profiles which store their individual service demand. All web services within this infrastructure have to be described by meta information based on ontologies, so that the user profiles can be checked against the service descriptions on a semantical level. In this paper we give an overview of FLAME2008 and the integration technologies used.
