Title

Flowability of ceramic bulk materials. Pt.2: Interaction of primary particle properties and flowability

Abstract
Flowability is an integral parameter summarizing a no. of primary particle properties. The anal. of these complex interactions requires statistical methods for the proper design of expts. Expts. were carried out with alumina as the ceramic bulk material, and the main interactions between the technol. parameters (suspension, technol.) and the dependent variables (flowability) were examd. The results indicate that the primary granule and bulk properties can be directly influenced by varying the technol. parameters. The processing behavior (flowability, compactibility) directly depends only on the primary properties, while the varied technol. parameters are linked by interactions of higher order to the processing behavior of the bulk material.
