Abstract
The envirommental exposition of usual structural steels and weathering steels doesn't influence the fatigue strength in the welded state, but the fatigue strength of the unwelded material by a decrease of 30 to 40 per cent.However , as the critical parts of steel structures are generally welded, the environmental attack of the material surface can be neglected.
