Knowledge-based processor generator for data exchange

The development of processor generator is a novel endeavor in data exchange area. It manages to integrate information model specifications, relations, conversion rules and program generation techniques all together to provide a new way of developing processors. A prototype of such a system is implemented at FhG-AGD. This paper presents an overview of the system and discusses some topics, such as conversion rules, inference engine and programming style, in detail.
