Klassifikation strukturierter Oberflächen am Beispiel der Holzsortierung

One range of application of modern vision systems is the inspection of textured surfaces like leather, textiles, paper, and wood. Inspection of wood surfaces does not only mean to detect defects but also to classify the wood taking into account the grain structure. In this paper a new approach is presented for the automatic sorting of wood usig so called neural nets.
