Abstract
A review is given on sources like incandescent lamps, gas lasers, light emitting diodes, laser diodes and superradiant diodes as well as on PIN- and avalanche photodiodes for use in fiber-optic sensors. Various source aspects are discussed arising for intensity phase-, and wavelength modulated fiber-optic sensors. (IPM)
