Experiences from DAMACH-HP Project Management: An applied modeling and simulation project for improving harbour processes

The paper provides an introduction to the INCO2 1997 Project PL976012 DAMACH-HP "Further Development and Practical Application of Harbour Processes Managing and Controlling Models, Methods and Techniques" which was funded by the European Commission, DG IST. In this project maritime enterprises are working together with the DAMACH-HP consortium for applying Modeling, Simulation and Visualization in five subprojects.
