Titel

A low-power, low-area delay-line based CMOS temperature sensor

Abstract
A CMOS temperature sensor based on delay lines is proposed. Neither a bandgap reference nor analog-to-digital converter is used. The realisation of concept is independent from technology and leads to lowcost, low-power and low-area temperature measurement units. The power consumption is about 0.4 ?W at a sampling rate of 1 sample/sec. and a measurement rate up to 500 Hz is feasible.
