Title

Explosive embossing of mold insert surfaces employing holographic topographies

Other Title
Explosiveinpressen der Oberflächen von Gießformeinlegescheiben unter Verwendung holographischer Topographien
Abstract
A very fast and easy process for microstructuring of hard surfaces is currently being adapted for nanoscale applications: explosive embossing. The Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology (ICT) and the Institute for Measurement and Control Engineering (IMR) of the Leibniz-University Hannover are currently presiding over the project which deals with the practicability of explosive embossing for nanostructures such as holographic structures. Within this project the ICT is responsible for the specific experimental setup and the practically relevant explosive embossing tests including the monitoring of all relevant parameters. The IMR is concerned with the digital creation of holographic data and the numerical simulation and the evaluation of the transfer characteristics of the process.
