Challenges and frontiers of computer graphics

Future Research directions for IT-based, visual applications are presented as visions developed from evolutionary, technological trends and presented based on observations from different views (system,application, user). These visions for human media technology, augmented reality, digital storytelling, integrated, interactive broadcasting, multimedia workspaces and interactive appliances are then discussed in some detail, giving all together a rich picture on what we can expect to be reality in the market place by 2010.
