Das Vorgehen bei der Produkt- und Produktionsentwicklung in produzierenden Unternehmen ist häufig auf verschiedene Organisationseinheiten verteilt. In den einzelnen Einheiten werden spezifische Methoden und Werkzeuge eingesetzt, die zu verteilten Daten- und Informationsquellen für das Engineering führen. Mit einer offenen, integrativen Plattform können durchgehende Informationsflüsse und eine zweckmäßige Informationsbereitstellung für die beteiligten Mitarbeiter erzielt werden.

The proceeding for the engineering of products and production systems in companies is often distributed in different organizational units. The staff uses specific methods and tools, resulting in distributed sources of data and information for engineering. In this contribution, an integrating but open platform for the engineering of products and production systems is introduced. An essential aspect of the platform is the semantic backend as means for appropriate information provision in engineering.
