Title
Exposure to permethrin used as moth repellent in wool carpets
Abstract
A study was carried out in order to investigate the indoor exposure to permethrin in rooms containing a wool carpet. In 80 private homes the concentrations of permethrin was monitored on airborne particles, in house dust and in carpets. This paper summarizes the used methods for sampling and analysis and some of the data collected in the investigated flats. Permethrin was detected in house dust in different concentrations, if the wool fibres contain permethrin. On airborne particles permethrin was found only in some cases and in very low concentrations.
