Texts, e.g. written reports, can be pre-analyzed automatically in order to find those texts which might be of interest with respect to a specific problem. Often this is done by a more or less sophisticated version of keyword spotting. However, the field of computational linguistics offers more potent and more precise tools for automatic text analysis. In this paper we present such a system tailored to the pre-analysis of military text as reports. We discuss the modules of the system and the improvements we installed to meet the needs of the military like the need for speed. As a conclusion we show how that system can be used in the process of automatic threat recognition.
