Das Fraunhofer IPA entwickelt innovative Methoden und Werkzeuge für die Montage- und Logistikplanung im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, komplexe Produkte mit hoher Varianz und schwankenden Stückzahlen herzustellen, verzweigte Montageprozesse und die termingerechte Bereitstellung einer Vielzahl von Bauteilen zu koordinieren und gleichzeitig die Planungskosten so gering wie möglich zu halten.

Fraunhofer IPA develops innovative methods and tools for planning assembly and logistic activities in the mechanical engineering industry. The challenge is to simultaneously manufacture complex products with high variety, fluctuations in volume and organize complex assembly processes as well as the just-in-time supply of a large variety of components, while keeping planning costs as low as possible.
