Examining materials flow systems using the AnaLoS concept

During six months, starting in autumn 1992 the Lehrstuhl für Förder- und Lagerwesen at Dortmund University examined a complex power and free transportation system with about 100 sources and sinks. This examination focused the problem, how to keep the construction operational the next 10 years. To realise the system analysis, characteristic values of materials flow have been determined directly to the transportation system using a procedure for Analysing Logistic Systems (AnaLoS). AnaLoS was developed as an enhancement and supplement to conventional methods.
