Abstract
The "Composite Battery Module" project aimed to reevaluate existing housing designs for battery modules in electric vehicles and to explore alternative construction methods using composite materials. The development of a prototype began with a general observation and characterization of a pouch cell, extending these findings to the module level, and encapsulating them in a component-specific requirements system. Based on these conditions, the presented housing concept was developed, with particular attention paid to the "Integrated Connection and Cooling Plate" (ICCP), which combines the defining features within a single component.
