Title

ADVENTAGE: Scalable Hybrid Noise Control Systems for Fans

Abstract
The project ADVentAGe focuses on developing technologies for integrating hybrid reactive and active noise control systems into fan components, aiming to reduce noise emissions and enhance sound quality. Traditional passive noise control often struggles with installation constraints and high demands for noise reduction. Active systems provide a compact, adaptable alternative but can be costly, posing challenges for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The project seeks scalable, cost-effective solutions, showing potential for up to 15 dB tonal noise reduction in initial tests. This hybrid approach not only opens new market opportunities for fan manufacturers but also establishes a new business area, particularly beneficial for SMEs in meeting stringent noise regulations.
