Flexibilization study of material and energy flows in mining

Title Supplement
Presentation held at Tecnomatix 2016 Plant Simulation Worldwide User Conference , 20.-22.06.2016, Stuttgart
Other Title
Flexibilisierungsstudie von Material- und Energieflüssen im Mienenbetrieb
Abstract
The transition to renewable driven electricity markets brings about coal demand and energy cost volatility for open cast lignite mines. Intelligent load management opens options to balance these effects - supported by numerical simulations of the production process in the mining operations. This presentation gives an overview of a flexibilisation study in one of Vattenfall's open pit mines.
