Title

Lifetime Prediction Strategy for Electronic Systems to Enhance Environmental Sustainability

Abstract
This paper underlines the importance of reliability assurance in electronic systems, aligning with the principles of the Green Deal. Using predictive maintenance approaches, such as data analytics, machine learning, and sensor technologies, enables proactive identification of potential failures, thereby minimizing environmental impact. Furthermore, the paper introduces a lifetime prediction methodology focusing on packaging technology, utilizing manufacturing and live sensor data to assess system longevity. Demonstrated through a DC/DC converter circuit, this approach combines simulation models and functional tests to classify design elements and estimate service life. This strategy not only enhances reliability but also supports circular economy principles by facilitating the reuse of electronic components in new applications.
