A refractometer with a fully packaged integrated optical head

A fully packaged refractometer in integrated-optics technology on glass has been developed. The sensor element is formed by two integrated-optical Fabry-Perot (IOFP) resonators to measure n and T. The complete sensor consists of the sensor head with the connecting fibers, the signal processing unit and a data recorder. The fibers and the housing are mounted at one end of the sensor chip with the other end being exposed to the medium to be measured.
