Transmission experiments with optically generated carriers in the 60 GHz-region

Abstract
Bidirectional and 2-channel 155 Mbit/s transmission experiments in the OQPSK format are reported using optically generated millimeter-waves at frequencies in the 60 GHz band. By applying the sideband injection locking technique the remotely generated millimeter-wave signals depict quartz accuracy and low phase noise <-100 dBc/Hz at offset frequencies >or=1 MHz.
