Creation of a community for smart components - MINAM goes SMART

With increasing digitalization of industrial processes and products, virtually all manufacturing sectors are tackling the grand challenges Europe is facing. Cyber-Physical-Systems and smart components are therefore a central topic in the ever more converging industrial field of Manufacturing and IT. MINAM initiates new collaborations between the micro and nano community with the ICT and manufacturing industries across Europe. Activities and efforts have to be gathered and synergies have to be found serving the need to build up a common initiative within the field of key enabling technologies, therefore the initiative and collaboration network Co-FACTOR has been funded by the European Commission. The activities are driven by the need to bring together all those key players who feel that they are part of a "smart components" community.
