Title

Geometric modelling based off-line programming of robots using simulation techniques

Abstract
In this paper some problems of the off-line planning of painting based on the experiences made while developing and installing such a system are discussed. The problems of planning optimal painting paths for car bodies and of collision free paths in general are particularly focussed. A proposal for a task-level programming concept to solve both problems is introduced.
