Virtual environment for collaborative factory planning

The paper promotes our knowledge, competences and best practices in the field of Factory Planning through a new approach, which integrates and harmonizes the Product and Factory Life Cycles, which we call Sustainable Life Cycles Management. Our vision and concept of a virtual environment for Collaborative Factory Planning, gives reality and implements the Factory dimension of our approach. The virtual environment is briefly introduced through its conceptual model, required technologies, employed tools and systems and a first implementation and validation scenario.
