Service engineering and lifecycle management for IT-services
Abstract
Servitization is a grand challenge for all manufacturing companies to extend their business. It involves all the aspects of the enterprise, which therefore needs methodological and technical support concerning an integrated development and management of service offerings. The requirements of a Service Lifecycle Management were based on expert interviews with service experts from German manufacturing companies. Based on this and the analysis of the state of the art of the Service Engineering, the subchapter presents an approach of a Service Engineering Lifecycle Management. It consists of the three phases: Service Ideation, Service Engineering and Service Operations Management. Here it is illustrated how a Service Lifecycle Management can help companies to develop and manage their service on a systematic way.
