Investigation of the nitrate based EIL 4-Amino-1-methyl-1,2,4- triazolium nitrate as a plasticizer

The energetic ionic liquid (EIL) 4-Amino-1-methyl-1,2,4-triazolium nitrate (AMTN) was compared to other energetic plasticizers such as Nitroglycerine (NGL), n‐Butyl Nitroxyethylnitramine (Bu-NENA) and Dinitrodiaza plasticizer (DNDA57) in terms of melting and decomposition temperature, mechanical sensitivity, heat of explosion and generated gas volume.
