Title
Cost-value based prioritization considering requirement dependencies
Abstract
Prioritization of Requirements considering dependencies has great impact on the success of software system project. Existing prioritization techniques usually do not consider the dependencies into account. So they are not practically useful to achieve the intended goal. In this thesis four main tasks have been done. First, a comprehensive overview is given on existing techniques. Second, how these techniques can handle requirement dependencies and how they could be modified or configured to handle requirement dependcies, are identified. Third, a full fledged cost-value based prioritization technique is proposed considering dependencies. It makes the cost-value based approach more practical. Fourth, Proposed technique is implemented and results are also evaluated by comparing it with other techniques. It essentially shows that the approach will help software industy to find better prioritization in different dependecy contexts which usual prioritization techniques do not consider. So the technique will help the industry to find realistic prioritization that is practically feasible to implement and at the same time more value earning.
